Anais Mejias
Anais is currently a junior at Cholla High Magnet School and our youngest board member. She is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program which is an educational program that offers college level work in preparation for a university education. She is a writing mentor after school, as well as a mentor in the Ignite Program where she spends time with freshman to teach them the tricks of the trade to keep good grades and successfully navigate their first year in high school. She would like to enter the university as a pre-med student. In her spare time she likes to play softball, read, and spend time with friends and family.
Cynthia Grant
Cynthia is currently a student at Pima Community College where she is finishing her prerequisites for nursing school. Previously, she was a Health Care Specialist in the United States Army. During her service, she was deployed to Iraq where she worked as a first responder on convoys and also as an EMT for COB Speicher. She believes in preventative medicine and stays healthy by being a vegetarian, running, hiking, and going to acupuncture on a regular basis. In her spare time she reads, knits, and enjoys being outdoors as much as possible.
Reilly McManus
Reilly is a full-time student studying Microbiology and Pre-Medicine. She enjoys traveling, bike riding, and the healing arts. In her spare time she flys, sews and is a talented massage therapist.
Kelsey N Ortbahn
Kelsey is currently a sophomore at the University of Arizona. She is majoring in Psychology (B.S.) and minoring in Spanish. She works as a Resident Assistant in one of the residence halls on campus. After Kelsey graduates, she hopes to become a doctor in either pediatrics or dermatology. In her free time, she loves to play badminton, spend time with friends and family, and travel.
Patricia Healey, MPH
Patricia moved back to Tucson in January 2011 after living in Rochester, New York, for over nine years. Prior to returning to Arizona, Patricia was a Project Manager at the Finger Lakes Health Systems Agency, a community health planning organization. She was also a founder and board member of the Western New York Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and a volunteer with Step By Step of Rochester, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to help women who are, have been, or are in danger of being incarcerated. Patricia graduated with Honors from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Russian Studies and earned a Master in Public Health degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry. She is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French. Patricia is eager to plant roots in Tucson and (re)discover this wonderful city!
