Health Ambassadors
The purpose of the Health Ambassador Program is to promote leadership development and tiered mentorship by raising awareness about health inequities that disproportionately affect disadvantaged communities.
Our Health Ambassadors make “Small healthy changes can make a big difference.” The Health Ambassadors are a group of health-minded individuals and undergraduates who serve as liaisons to the general public. They are trained by professionals in many areas of wellness including stress management, sleep, hygiene, and sexual health.
You will see our Health Ambassadors on campus and around town leading stress workshops, disseminating important health information, interviewing peers for health projects, and planning interactive and educational events.
In addition, they advise Dequenesh on its wellness programming, medical and behavioral services, and customer service. HA's apply, interview, and are chosen in the spring before each academic year. If you have any questions or are interested in applying, please email info@dequenesh.org
