Social Prophet Ventures [SPV] SPV uses a cooperative model to foster economic development through soap making. The model, a community-campus design, is a closed loop system to support both front-end and back end users. The front-end users are community members [community] in low-resource areas working collaboratively with the back-end users who are undergraduate/graduate students [campus] and public health professionals to promote economic sustainability and ultimately improve quality of life. We use four conceptual platforms: social entrepreneurship, service learning/outreach & education, and workforce development to achieve our goals. |
Social EntreprenuershipThe attempt to draw upon business techniques to find solutions to social problems.

Workforce developmentAn approach that attempts to enhance a region's economic stability and prosperity by focusing on people rather than businesses.
